Some interventions
I use

I use various psychological methodologies and individualize them to your needs, ensuring they are the most efficient and effective treatments for your diagnoses, so you can heal, grow, and improve in multiple aspects of your life. â€‹These include:

CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and others

-(CBT) cognitive behavioral therapy, an evidence-based therapeutic method that identifies unhealthy ways of thinking and behaving that keep you stuck and thinking negatively about yourself, your life, your past and your current behavior.

-(DBT) Dialectical behavioral therapy, an evidenced based therapy that helps modulate emotions and build healthy relationships.

-mindfulness practices to help you live in the present, decrease stress, anxiety, fear, and let go of trauma inside your body.

-I may incorporate others when it seems likely they will help you, and tailor each practice to your needs, likely meditation, work on your environment, help you find a passion or hobbies, or find outside groups or support.

-This is not an inclusive list.

Skills and practices you
may learn

I tailor sessions to you and the ways you envision your life improving.

-With OCD, I can help decrease the impact obsessive thoughts can cause, often through scripts or exposure therapy, as well as decreasing the anxiety these create, so you no longer judge yourself while developing strategies to break these patterns of thinking and replace them with healthy thoughts.

-With ADHD, depending on your type, I can help you learn to start and complete tasks, interact with others, calm your mind, create routine you can stick with, and many other skills, including improving procrastination, daydreaming and more. Many of these skills will be worked on during session.

-With individuals on the spectrum, I can help you learn how to decrease and manage the impact of overstimulation, improve communication and your social life, and help you learn how to better navigate in this a neurotypical world.

Some of the approaches
I believe in

There are so many aspects of life that people with many people have to live with, whether they have mental health diagnoses or not, and I am here to listen and care without judgment.

-I bring a unconditional loving kindness approach. II am not here to tell you what to do with your life and I will do my best not to use a tone or derogatory manner that hurts your feelings, sounds authoritarian, or demeans you in anyway. We are working on your therapy together, identifying your needs and we will work collaboratively. If I suggest treatments or assignments you don't like, tell me that. I also ask that if I have hurt your feelings in any way, if my tone annoys you, if my words leave you feeling patronized, please open up about that. This is your therapy, and you are the expert of your life! I am here for you. You are paying me to benefit your life, to improve your life, to help you feel better, think in more effective ways, and manage this world in a way that helps you feel heard, loved, and understood. I am the guide, you are actually living it.
